Enable Gift Codes Auto Assignment

  1. Toggle Switch: Enabled/Disabled

    • Description: This toggle switch allows you to enable or disable the Gift Codes Auto Assignment functionality. When enabled, the app will automatically assign gift codes to orders.

      How to Use:

      • To enable Gift Codes Auto Assignment, simply toggle the switch to the "Enabled" position.

      • To disable Gift Codes Auto Assignment, toggle the switch to the "Disabled" position.

        "Generate New Code on Sale" Checkbox

    • Description: This checkbox determines whether the app will generate a new gift code if the uploaded gift codes are depleted or if no codes have been uploaded. When enabled, a new gift code will be generated upon each sale, ensuring customers receive a unique code for their purchase. This option is ideal for scenarios where the store owner can write down the generated code on a physical gift card.

Note: This option may not be suitable for preprinted gift cards, as the code will be generated dynamically upon each sale.

    • How to Use:
      • Check the box to enable the "Generate New Code on Sale" feature.

      • Uncheck the box to disable this feature.

        Usage Scenarios:

      • Enabled:
        • If no gift codes are available or uploaded, a new code will be generated for each sale.
        • The store owner can write down the automatically generated code on a physical gift card.
      • Disabled:
        • The app will not generate new codes automatically.

Upload Gift Codes for Physical Gift Cards

    • Description: The Gift Code Upload Form allows you to upload a list of gift codes for physical gift cards. Each code should adhere to specific formatting guidelines to ensure proper functionality within the system.
      • Access the Gift Code Upload Form within the Gift Codes Auto Assignment section of the app.
      • Use the provided text area to enter or paste your list of gift codes.
      • Each gift code should be separated either by a new line or a comma.

      • Ensure that each code adheres to the specified length and character requirements.

        Gift Code Formatting Guidelines:

      • Each gift code must be between 8 and 18 characters in length.
      • Only alphanumeric characters (letters and numbers) are allowed within the gift codes.

      • Total Gift Codes Assigned: The total number of gift codes that have been successfully assigned to orders.
      • Remaining Gift Codes: The number of gift codes that are still available for assignment.

      • Unassigned Codes Due to Errors: The count of gift codes that could not be assigned due to errors or invalid entries.

        Gift Codes Assignment Grid

    • Description: The Gift Codes Assignment Grid displays detailed information about assigned and unassigned gift codes, allowing you to track their status and manage allocations efficiently.

      Columns:

      • Gift Code: Displays the unique gift code.
      • Status: Indicates whether the gift code has been assigned or remains unassigned.
      • Assigned Order: If a gift code has been assigned, this column displays the associated order name. Otherwise, it remains blank.

    • Assigned Gift Code Badge:

      • Gift codes that have been successfully assigned are marked with a "Assigned" badge, indicating their utilization in fulfilling orders.

        Utilization:

      • If a gift code has been assigned, the corresponding row will display the name of the order to which it has been allocated.
